What started as a hobby influenced by my grandfather's love for photography has blossomed into a meaningful career centered around documenting life's most precious moments. My mission is to cultivate an environment where every client feels relaxed and authentic, allowing their true essence to radiate through each photograph. At the core of my practice lies a dedication to preserving memories for future generations.
Through my journey from being the girl with the camera in high school to becoming a dedicated family photographer today,
one thing has remained constant: my passion for capturing authentic moments.
PROVIDING AN EXPERIENCE THAT GOES BEYOND THE ORDINARY.
With a unique first name and a challenging-to-spell maiden name, the quest for a distinctive name for my photography business began. Knowing my focus would be on children and family photography (seniors weren't even on my radar at the time), I delved into my childhood memories.
Reflecting on a pivotal moment from my past, a traumatic event where I nearly lost my finger, I recalled the comfort my grandfather brought me with a blue stuffed hippo. The memory struck a chord, and I found the name 'Blu Hippo' had a cute and endearing ring to it. That simple, heartfelt connection became the essence of my brand.
While the spelling deviated slightly (missing an 'e') due to an already claimed domain, it encapsulates the unique journey and personal touch that Blu Hippo represents.
